Whether you’re new around here or just need a quick refresher, here’s the elevator pitch: Do312 is your go-to guide for doing cool stuff in Chicago. We keep the city’s best events, guides, and local picks updated daily — plus newsletters run by real Chicagoans who actually know what’s up.
We spotlight everything from concerts and comedy to sports, happy hours, and farmers markets. We also throw our own parties, run killer giveaways, and help both promoters and locals make nights worth remembering.
That’s the gist — but depending on how deep you go, we’ll break it down into three levels…
BEGINNER LEVEL: Visiting our Site
Landing on Do312 makes you one of the sharpest tacks in Chicago’s drawer. No account needed to start sniffing out the good stuff. You can see the biggest shows on any given night and everything else going on around town.

REGULAR LEVEL: Create a Profile, Rule the Night (and also Brunch)
Still with us? Good. Making a Do312 account is your key to dominating Chicago’s scene. Just click Sign In at the top right and register with your email address.
Here’s where it gets cool:
Every time you log in and vote on an event, it’s saved to your profile – an easy way to plan your month or remember what’s coming up. Want to know what shows you’ve marked for later in the year? Check your profile!

ADVANCED PARTY PERSON LEVEL: JOINING DoMORE

RSVPs: Click the “RSVP” button on an event to secure free entry and add your name to the list. RSVPing also boosts the event’s visibility on the site. Your RSVPs are saved to your account, making it easy to track your plans.
Giveaways: If you win, you’ll get an email or social notification no later than 24 hours before the show. Reply to confirm attendance (or to tell us how awesome we are... preferably both).

Where our events come from:
We pull listings from band and venue sites, but you can also add your own by upgrading your account. Email [email protected] to request permission. Once you’re approved, upload your event info and poster – it’s a great way to get people in the door.
How events are ranked:
Events rise on our homepage through popular votes and Insiders picks. Click “upvote” on a listing to boost its visibility – the most loved events make it to the top. That’s democracy, baby.

How to Make Your Event Listing Actually Good:
Log in and hover over your profile photo in the top right corner and click “Add Event.”
Next, fill in the blanks! You can also upload pictures or posters associated with the event. Finally, click the big ADD IT button at the bottom, and…
Once the event has been created, you’ll be able to add a description.
*You’ll need editing access to add events. Register on the site, then email [email protected]
to get approved.
Before you post, search the site — odds are we already have your event listed. If not, follow these quick rules to make yours shine:
- Don’t add an end date unless it’s actually a multi-day event — otherwise it’ll disappear into the void.
- Use our drop-downs. We’ve got hundreds of bands and venues on file. Type slowly, pick from the list, and save yourself the trouble.
- Get fancy. The description box supports basic HTML, so bold away, drop links, or add a little flair.
